Un total de 13 cantones ubicados en las siete provincias del país siguen sin registrar casos positivos con el nuevo coronavirus Covid-19, de acuerdo con el Ministerio de Salud.
Se trata de: Acosta, Dota, León Cortés, Guatuso, Los Chiles, Río Cuarto, Zarcero, Sarapiquí, Nandayure, Buenos Aires, Parrita, Guácimo y Martina, donde en una gran mayoría se presenta clima caliente.
Es importante recordar que en horas de la noche de este domingo 10 de mayo se registró la sétima muerte por este mortal virus en el Hospital Enrique Baltodano de Liberia.
“Fue diagnosticado el sábado 9 de mayo e ingresado ese mismo día a cuidados intensivos del hospital de Liberia. Este fallecimiento se suma a los ya registrados de seis personas, todos hombres, con un rango de edad de 45 a 87 años”, ampliaron en un comunicado de prensa.
Dentro de los cantones que se unieron en los últimos días a la lista mencionada inicialmente destacan Quepos, Upala y La Cruz, estos dos últimos situados en zona fronteriza.
En las próximas horas el gobierno y el Ministerio de Salud darán a conocer las nuevas medidas sanitarias dada la pandemia, pero se presume que extenderán la restricción vehicular hasta horas de la noche y se habilitará la apertura de algunos sitios turísticos y comercios.
